There are several Google search techniques that are worth knowing and will make your online life easier.

1. The use of quotation marks, as in this" and this ". When you're searching for exact phrase and you want the results to come back with only and exactly those words you're searching for, you put them in quotation marks.

2. The use of + and - signs. If you want to search for online deals for example, but you want online deals that could be claimed in Makati City only, you put : ONLINE DEALS + MAKATI (doesn't have to be capitalized). So that online deals in countries million miles away from you will not be included in the results.

And if you want to search for movies for example, but you don't want porno movies, you write : MOVIES - PORNO. So that the search results will exclude all porno movies but will include all kinds of movies.

3. If you want the definition of a word quickly, write: DEFINE: and the word you want defined.
Ex. DEFINE: OBSCURE

4. If you want to look up measurement or conversion, just type: CONVERT 123456 CENTIMETERS TO METERS.

5. If you're looking for certain document in pdf file, write EARN ONLINE FILETYPE: PDF. The same works if you're looking for a Word doc or a Powerpoint file.
Example: TOURIST SPOTS FILETYPE: DOC (or PPT if it's a powerpoint file you're interested in).

Additionally, words like: is, are, a, an, the, of, in, etc, are not read by Google so including those words is useless and unnecessary, unless you're using the "-" (quotation marks) as in "Ways to earn online", in which case, all articles containing those exact words (and in the same order) will appear in the result. But if you're searching for WINDOWS SOFTWARE IN THE MARKET, note that only the keywords (Windows, software, market) will be read by Google.

According to Freud, dreams are merely extensions of our subconscious thinking. That means your dreams are actually products of your subconscious mind, and they actually represent your repressed wishes. Whether you agree with Freud or not, it's fun finding out what your dreams mean [whether or not they have meanings at all].

I recently dreamed I was going into labor [the pain hasn't started yet] and all ready to give birth. The meanings, I found out, include the following:

> giving birth to a new idea. on the brink of a new life-changing project.
> giving birth to a new "you", with a new outlook in life.
> you are turning a new leaf or a new chapter in your life.
> you are anxious about giving birth (if you're pregnant), or you're dreaming about giving birth (if you want to get pregnant).

These dream interpretations are not supposed to be taken seriously though. So, do not base any of your life decisions on them. But that's just me. Ciao! :)

It's pretty simple, you just press the PRT SCR button on your keyboard to capture the image on your screen, and then you paste the image on Word or on Paint by pressing CTRL + V . Alternately, you can right click on the screen and scroll down for the PASTE option. Of course, there are other ways to print your screen but I find this one the
easiest since I don't have to go to any website or even go online to do
it.

On Paint, you'll have the option to crop the image or trim part of the image that you don't like to appear. If you're working on a laptop, note that you will have to press the PRT SCR along with another button. On HP for example, you'll have to press the function key (FN) to activate function buttons, that's FN + PRT SCR.

Don't forget to paste (CTRL + V) the image that you captured (PRT SCR). Easy Peasy!

Not very. If you're thinking of buying one because you want to give your breast a bit (let me put an emphasis to the word) of a lift, then Bare Lifts might be a good choice. However, if you're looking to enhance your cleavage, Bare Lifts will be a disappointment.

The thing works by sticking the bottom part of the adhesive sheet right above your nipple, and then pulling it and sticking the upper part as high as it could go on your breast. The result is like tucking a portion of your breast with the sticky sheet (like cutting a hole in the middle of your breast just an inch above your nipple and then connecting the edges together with an adhesive film. It doesn't do a lot of lifting, except for that one inch area above your nipple). It doesn't give the upper part of your breast that plump lifted look, but only technically repositions your nipple, giving it a perkier look.

You can indeed wear it in the water, and it doesn't hurt nor is it uncomfortable. But considering that it doesn't do much of what it's supposed to, comfort becomes highly irrelevant.

If you have bigger breasts (C or D), you might already be satisfied with its result (considering you already have a cleavage to begin with), but don't expect much in terms of its "lift" function. For strong support and lift, you'd still be better off with traditional strap bras or a magic bra like this.

The building of Fort Santiago took three years to complete from the time the Intramuros was constructed in 1590 to 1593. It was named after Spain's Patron of Saint, Saint James and it was were Jose Rizal, the country's national hero, was kept as a prisoner until his execution on December 30, 1896.

In this digital age, fewer locals prefer the Luneta Park over big malls or amusement parks on any given day, but the park will still make it on my list of must-see places as long as we're on the topic of cultural and historical sights.

In the old days, you're considered artistically ignorant if you haven't been to the Luneta Park for even once. You'll get teased and everyone will make fun of the fact. Today, people still tend to make fun of those who haven't seen the Park but it is now seen more as a novelty than a want.

1. Insert the SIM card into any phone
2. Dial *#99# or *99#
In actual fact, you cannot strip your Facebook account off its timeline look. Once your profile is converted to Timeline, you'd be on Timeline for the rest of your Facebook life (at least at the time of writing, and as long as FB technical staff are on their toes warding off hackers and wannabe hackers like you and me). You can however, view your profile (and everybody else's, for that matter) in its old style. That means that you can view your profile like it was before Timeline happened, but technically, your profile is still on Timeline feature (so that your friends and everybody else who'll look at your profile will still see the Timeline). Change can happen on your end only (unless of course your friends have disabled the Timeline also). So, how do you hide and disable timeline? Simple, you tweak your browser.

There are many Timeline removers for different browsers available on the net, some are free of charge some are not. Some are complicated and some are simple. I'd recommend this as it's really a simple "click download button, run the file and voila!" (it's free too), but you can also download anything you prefer.

Happy Facebooking!

Without downloading any application, you can use any of your 3G capable cellphone as a modem to connect your Android tab to the Internet.

Here's how:

1. Turn the WIFI off in your cellphone
2. Connect your phone to the Internet (depending on your phone, you may find it in the connectivity menu).
3. Go to Settings on your Android tab and choose wireless 3G settings.
4. Fill out the boxes with the following 3G settings

For SMART SIM

name: smart
device: TD-CDMA (TD368)
apn: internet
dialed number: *99#

For GLOBE SIM

name: globe
device: TD-CDMA (TD368)
apn: http.globe.com.ph
phone number: *99#

Now you're ready to connect to the Internet! Note that regular rates apply and that you cannot connect if you don't have enough balance. You can use this setting to any China tablet you have like aPad, ePad, etc.

Enjoy!

If you're using Firefox, chances are you've seen the message "Adobe Flash Player Plugin Crashed" at least once when you're watching videos on the Internet. Apparently, the problem is not originating with Firefox, so the logical solution of updating your Adobe to a recent version will not work in this case. That said, switching to another browser isn't the solution as your Player will still crash in other browsers.

Here's how I prevented my Flash Player from crashing again.

1. Uninstall your current Adobe Flash Player. Download and save this Uninstall Adobe

2. Close all open browsers.

In some cases, you'll get the prompt that you still need to close some programs that are open, when in fact, you don't have any open programs running. Here's what you can do. Press CTRL + ALT + DEL to open the task manager. Click the processes tab and look for the applications you need to close according to the Adobe uninstaller. Find it fast by looking for a .exe file. When you found it, just click END PROCESS.

3. Run the Adobe Uninstaller.

Now that's done, you need to reinstall an old version of Adobe Flash Player. Firefox recommends installing 10.3 for security reasons.

4. So, get Adobe Flash Player 10.3 here : Install Adobe Flash 10.3

5. Run the exe file and you're done!

Enjoy watching videos again anywhere!
Adminhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15439749140090920673noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6338316744088156277.post-67959157731952444702012-06-27T19:08:00.000-07:002012-06-27T19:08:55.560-07:00How To Download Videos From Youtube

Videos from youtube cannot be downloaded, but there are ways you can do to get around this. My favorite is by simply changing the file type of the video, and then changing it to whatever file type is supported by my media gadget. And it’s easy to do that. Go to this site and then click the tab “download URL”. In the box, copy the URL of the video from youtube. You then choose the file type you want for the video and finally click “convert”.

Wait a few seconds while the video is being converted. When it’s finished, a link to the video will be generated for you to download by simply right-clicking and saving the target. You can now watch the video from your computer, or transfer it to another media and watch from there.

Gone were the days when you have to go through the hassle of getting to the nearest DTI office and lining in long lines just to register your business name. Now, you can actually fill out application form, get to check available names you can use, pay for your transaction, and get your certificate, without ever leaving your house!

I recently registered a business name at DTI and I can personally vouch for the ease by which you can apply for and get a DTI business name registration certificate.

Just go to their website, and click new application (see below)

It will take you to Terms and Conditions page where you have to click "I AGREE" at the bottom of the page. It will take you to another page where you can check if the name you have in mind is still available or not. Fill out all other necessary information and choose the mode of payment you want. I chose GCash because I wanted everything to be as convenient as possible.

After you made your payment, you can immediately download a copy of the certificate!

Easy peasy!
It is a type of website that contains posts arranged in a chronological order. At the time of writing, the published date of blog posts can already be hidden so that it doesn’t show on the blog post page.

A post is any written material posted or published on the blog, and blogs come in different forms and types. When a blog is a part of a website, the homepage is a static page showing the different parts of the site in the navigation bar. A blog, however, has the blog posts (also called entries) as its homepage.

The content of the blog determines its type. The popular type is called the personal blog, which functions like an online diary and which contains posts about personal life. It could be opinions, personal events in life or hobbies. Other types are business blog, school, Internet marketing, Information technology and all other kinds of expertise. You can create blogs on whatever topic (also called niche) you choose.

When you write posts and entries for your blog, it’s called blogging and you can refer to yourself as a blogger. Nowadays, blogging can be a profession. There are professional bloggers who make a living from their blogs, because blogs can also be monetized.

Having your own blog is easy. There are a number of sites (which are called Blog platforms) that can help you set up your own blog with just one click of a button. The best part is that it’s free too!
When you dine in Chinese restaurants, complimentary tea is always offered. One Chinese proverb said "it's better to be deprived of food for three days, than go without tea for one". Clearly, tea is part of the Chinese culture. Nadine Taylor offered the explanation why in her book Green Tea: The Natural Secret for a Healthier Life. It says tea, specifically green tea has been used as medicine in China for 4, 000 years. Even during the ancient time, Chinese have known the value of tea in their lives.

Now, I have been on look-out recently for a drink that can make me stay up late without making me dizzy and lightheaded like coffee does. Green tea seem to have the same effect, only better, because the effect is longer. Not only that, it makes me feel fuller and my bowel movements often. I have been struggling for days curbing my appetite, but when I started drinking green tea, I could go for hours not eating anything. And even though green tea contains less caffeine than coffee, I totally feel like it does make me feel more energetic.

Research-wise, green tea are said to burn calories faster and increase metabolism. It is rich in catechin polyphenols that said to help burn calories and prevent damaging effects of free radicals especially after a heavy work-out, thus making it a good anti-oxidant to help battle free radicals in our body. As it is herbal, it is also 100% natural.

If you drink green tea, you could also benefit from its other health benefits such as its ability to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. It can kill cancel cells without damaging healthy cells. It helps prevent rheumatoid arthritis and cardio vascualr diseases.

First: Check your balance online

Go to http://smart.com.ph/connect/ and register an account.

Go to the dashboard by entering your SmartBro number without the zero prefix. Ex. 9201234567

Enter the password you used when you created your account.

Select Balance Inquiry from the menu options available. A detailed balance of your account will be shown, including expiration of promos you're enrolled in.

The link to http://smart.com.ph/connect/ is available on your home page SmartBro modem window so you can just click it when you're online.

Second: Check your balance via SMS or text message

On Create Message type BRO BAL

Send it to 2200. You will then receive a text message of your remaining balance.

The balance inquiry thru text is free of charge.

I personally find the SMS way easier. But you should try both and see what works for you.

I'm not a doctor or a medical specialist of any kind, but I learned this trick from a doctor. Of course, taking fever medicine is still the best way to lower body temperature, but when you don't have access to medicine, this could really help lower body temperature. When I was pregnant and couldn't get hold of a medicine --and didn't want to take any-- but have a bottle of alcohol and paper tissue in my bag, I used them to lower my body temperature.

Alcohol lowers body temperature because of its cooling properties. When capillaries run through a part of skin with alcohol, the cooling effect is distributed throughout the body. Also, because alcohol evaporates quickly, it takes the heat out of the skin immediately when it evaporates and leaves the skin feeling cold.

Don't forget to take some medicine as soon as you can :)

PROMOTING YOUR LIST
also explore other ways of promoting your list. You could create a blog andIt's important that you don't rely on sign-u ps from your website to develop your mailing list. It would help that you create one special page in your site that encourage readers to sign up for your newsletter, but you should then include your URL in your email and forum signatures. For a small fee, you could use advertisements. Whatever you do, remember that
nurturing your list doesn't end in making great content for your subscribers. Don't forget the list!

CONTENT OF YOUR NEWSLETTER

If you decide to use newsletters, coming up with contents for your newsletter on a regular basis can be really challenging. What you could do is include snippets of your web posts, announce new services and products, or you could give them a recommendation of a new web resource that you think will be useful for them. You could also feature current news in your industry if you can find one. Just remember to always include links back to your site.

Now, if you still struggle with contents, you could always hire ghostwriters or turn to sites that offer article contents for websites. An excellent source for articles is www.associatedcontent.com and www.constantcontent.com

Like I mentioned, you can make newsletters in the form of blogs. There are a lot of free-hosted blogs out there with instructions on how to set-up one, if you don't know yet how to do so. The popular ones are Wordpress and Blogger and both are free to use.

GET A LITTLE PERSONAL

I don't know about you, but in the world wide web, I feel a certain level of loyalty to those I feel I know better than those I don't. I tend to be forgiving of the mistakes of others I know but smirk at mistakes of those I don't. In fact, it would take very little to convince me to write a negative blog post about it, but Iet's not get into that. When you write your letter, do not be afraid to be a little personal in it. Offer your readers a glimpse of your life from time to time. Tell them about your pets, the neighbor that's driving you crazy or the woman at the check-out counter of the grocer. But always make it short to show that you respect their time, and to not lose their interest.

MAILING FREQUENCY

How often you communicate with your subscribers depends on the kind of list that you have. If it's a tip list, a weekly schedule would be ideal, although a bi-weekly schedule would be just as effective.

If you go for a newsletter or ezine, unless you can manage a weekly publication, bi-monthly would do just fine. The goal is to not let the readers forget about you, as they probably will, when they only hear from you once a month. But you should also be careful not to irritate them from seeing mails from you all the time. I do tend to unsubscribe from a listing ifI see too much of them in my inbox. I suspect it's no different with others.

BRING THEM BACK TO YOUR WEBSITE!

Whenever you communicate with your list, always remember to include a link back to your website. Entice them with a peek of what's new in your site and don't forget that link!

THINK LONG-TERM

Over time, some of your subscribers will not be as responsive as they were when they first signed up. They will no longer read your mails, let alone open them. some may unsubscribe as well. But never grow tired of taking care of your list. A lot of successful people on the Internet are people who never gave up. If your low in traffic, maybe you need to Iiven things up, not let the list go.

CONCLUSION

A mailing list is useless if not taken cared of. You will never go wrong in investing your time building a list, especially nowadays when mailing list can even be bought for a price. Each year brings new Internet marketing strategies, but there's one that remained tried and tested in bringing in money. Mailing list is one proven and effective way of increasing Internet income. Build one, nurture it and reap the rewards. If there are people that succeeded because they persisted, there are also a lot of people who failed because they did not. Which group would you prefer to belong in? I know that if you apply the ideas in this guide, you're on your way to having a rich mailing list. A gold mine.

WHAT KIND OF MAILING LIST WILL YOU HAVE?

You need to decide if you're going to run and manage your mailing list on
your server or have it hosted by a list management system owner. I
recommend that you use a hosted solution and leave the management to
the experts. It's going to save you a lot of time. Besides, there are lots of
free third-party list management owners out there.

Now, there are three basic list types. The Tips List, the Newsletter and the
Ezine Format. If you have a blog, you could publish there and just give a
short text of each post in your email, including links to your website.

Tips List. This kind contains tips and is not date-sensitive unlike
newsletters and ezines. This is the easiest to manage of all three. If you
have an auto-responder, which we'II talk about later, you can load as
many tips as you could make in the system and have it sent to your
subscribers three or five tips per week and set the delivery schedule
whatever way you like. If you have 52 tips for example, you could set the
system to deliver one per week and the system will continue delivering
your tips uninterrupted for a whole year.

Newsletter and Ezine are both publication types, except the Ezine is
more in-depth and is longer.

THE AUTO-RESPONDER

Even though you might think you can handle sending
emails to your subscribers yourself, it is not wise to do so. Besides, that
would take a lot of your time and we want something that you can "set
then forget", don't we? With an auto-responder system, you can set the
frequency of your mails and with just one click of a button, you'II be able
to send mails to all the people in your list. Most auto-responders come
with a mailing list system.

But there's another reason why you need an auto-responder system.
Such a software allows subscribers to easily opt out and choose how
frequent they want to receive mails from you. This is important if you
want to avoid your email address being flagged as spam.

THE FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS

Something you need to understand about this mailing list business is that
it's a relationship, and like all kinds of relationships, you need to nurture it.
Once you have their email addresses, that's when the relationship starts.
When they sign up on your website, take that opportunity to thank them,
and yes, send them an email with a thank you token. For instance, if
you're offering services or products, you could offer gift certificates. If
you're in the business of giving opinions and reviews on why it's madness
to buy that new gadget, you could offer a free ticket to a trade fair or a
movie, or perhaps a gift certificate for a cup of coffee! It doesn't have to
be extravagant and your imagination is only your limit! Remember that for
taking their time out to sign up, they're showing that they are interested
enough to hear more from you and what you have to offer them
information-wise. Don't let the chance to nourish that relationship slip
through your hands!
Getting the most out of a mailing list and making your website work for you.Adminhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15439749140090920673noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6338316744088156277.post-41143939541090604472011-01-17T16:29:00.000-08:002011-01-17T16:29:17.053-08:00The Money Is In The List! Part 2Every web page has a primary function, to coax the visitors to do
something, buy something or employ services. But every web page should
also have its secondary function, and that is to coax the visitors to sign up
for the newsletter. You see, when you have their e-mail addresses, you'II
have the opportunity to market to them over and over again and lead
them back to your site every time!

HAVING A SQUEEZE PAGE

A "name squeeze" is a special webpage that has only one purpose. To
squeeze the name and the email address out of a reader in exchange for a
gift or offer.

This is useful when you're trying to build a list and or offering new
services. You can offer them something that they can use to avail of your
services or buy your products. A good example is discounts. Of course, you
could also offer something completely unrelated to your products and
services, and even when you don't have any new services for trial.
Remember, there's no hard and fast rule in the Internet. I suggest you
give out something really valuable and useful and will be hard to resist.
